Jason and Kelley Ross: kelley_jason.jpg
Hi, our names are Jason and Kelley Ross. We are both originally from Wichita and met nearly twelve years ago in high school. We were high school sweethearts but went our separate ways for college and the next decade-Jason to Kansas State University to study civil engineering and Kelley to Baylor University to study Spanish and psychology. We both grew in our faith during college, largely through our Greek houses: Jason through an investigative Bible discussion with the Navigators in his fraternity, Delta Upsilon, and Kelley through Bible studies and mission work through her sorority, Chi Omega.

After graduation Jason worked for Exxon Mobil Corporation for three years in Houston and Italy, and Kelley earned a graduate degree in psychology from Kansas State University and went on to work at Trinity University in San Antonio for four years with college students with disabilities.

For the past two years Jason was on staff with the Navigators’ EDGE Corps at Kansas State University. We were reacquainted two years ago and were married in September of 2007. We are thrilled to now be on staff with the Navigators at the University of Kansas! Go Hawks!

Hello, my name is Michelle Maxwell. I am originally from Ames, Iowa but I graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2005 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After graduation I joined Edge Corps staff with the Navigators and ended up at the University of Kansas. During my two years of Edge Corps staff I had the opportunity to grow deeply in my own faith as I sought to know Christ more and to make Him known in the lives of students on the campus. Also, as a part of my Edge Corps experience I had the opportunity to travel to Malawi Africa for 5 weeks over a summer and invest in the lives of students there as well. This past summer I served as staff at a Navigator Summer Training Program in Jacksonville, Florida for 8 weeks.

Currently, I am still on staff with the Navigators at Kansas but I am also working part-time as a pharmacist for Hy-Vee. I have really enjoyed the practice of pharmacy and also the privilege of building relationships with my co-workers who don’t yet know Christ. Daily I have the opportunity to live out the Gospel in front of them through my speech and conduct. I am excited for how God will continue to use my life for His glory in the workplace as well as on the KU campus.
